  abstract  = {This paper discusses the results and experiences gained from the project Model Driven Development of Telecommunication Systems (MDTS) which is a joint project of three institutes of the Fraunhofer Society. The main goal of the project was to define a model driven software construction process, which enables the integration of system development and system test. It included the provision of a set of supporting tools to increase the level of automation in this process. The developed concepts have been applied in the telecommunication domain using an example application. This application supports mobile workers in critical industrial domains like aircraft maintenance or chemical production.},
